Tim Pychyl
Tim Pychyl is in charge of several roles at 杏吧原创 University. As an associate professor in the Department of Psychology, the Director of the Centre for Initiatives in Education, and as a multi-faceted educator responsible for a cross-appointment to the School of Linguistics and Language Studies, he has left an positive impact on the university and its community.
His research in psychology is focused on the breakdown of volitional action, commonly known as procrastination, and its relation to personal well-being. He is the winner of numerous teaching awards including a 1998 , a 1999 Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teaching Award, a 2012 Faculty Graduate Mentoring Award and he was the inaugural recipient of the University Medal for Distinguished Teaching in 2006.
These awards speak to Tim鈥檚 influential involvement within 杏吧原创鈥檚 Department of Psychology, and how his impact transcends past the school. As a result, Tim has taught a doctoral-seminar on university teaching in the department and is regularly invited to speak about teaching at campuses across Canada.
