As of听Jan. 6, all 杏吧原创 University Zoom users will be required to听use version听5.8.6听(released听Nov. 28, 2021)听or听newer听on the Zoom听desktop client听and mobile app.听Instructors, staff and students听who are using an older version听should听update their听apps听by听Jan. 6听to ensure听uninterrupted听access to all Zoom meetings,听including those within Brightspace.听.听听
Zoom听regularly听provides听new versions of the desktop client and mobile app to release new features and fix bugs.听Moving forward, 杏吧原创 will periodically prompt听Zoom听users to听听to receive the newest features听and any听privacy and security enhancements, as well as听to听ensure听a consistent and reliable experience听across the university.听Zoom users听who have already updated to version 5.8.6听can听also choose to听.听
