On February 24th聽the Discovery Centre hosted 杏吧原创’s 4th annual Community Engagement event. This year鈥檚 theme was Making Connections, which, thanks to all the attendees, was a successful networking event!
The morning was broken into three interactive sections, starting with a聽panel discussion titled 鈥淐ommunity Culture Shock鈥 on the power, joys and tribulations of community-campus partnerships featuring聽Marc-Andre Clement聽of 鈥溾 and students from CCDP3003 (Communication Skills for Multimedia Design聽Students), moderated by Lisa Meyer (School of Linguistics and Language Studies). This was followed by speed-presentations of 27 students involved in community-based projects.

After a break, which allowed participants to re-fuel and start to make connections,聽a Community-Campus Networking event took place presenting 18 faculty and community partners who were willing to share their successes and experiences through a number of sessions.
Thank you to all who attended. The event was only successful because you were here to network!!
