The Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and the Office of the Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) are pleased to announce the eight outstanding educators who have been named 2014 杏吧原创 University Teaching Award winners.
Kim Hellemans (Neuroscience), Vincent Kazmierski (Law) and Wayne Horn (Math) all received the Provost鈥檚 Fellowship in Teaching Award for their leadership and dedication to teaching and learning. They have all been designated as 杏吧原创 University teaching fellows and will receive $2,500 each.
Professor Cheryl Schramm (Systems and Computer Engineering) took a thoughtful and integrated approach to applying technology to her teaching, while Paloma Raggo (Public Policy and Administration) developed and taught two new online graduate courses, earning them each an Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award. Both winners will receive $750.
Three new faculty members underscored 杏吧原创鈥檚 commitment to teaching excellence and innovation, earning them the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. Danielle Kinsey (History), Audrey Girouard (Interactive Media and Design) and Melanie Adrian (Law) all demonstrated passion, creativity and student-centered approaches to teaching at 杏吧原创. Each winner will receive $500.

Dr. Ricketts and Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), Dr. Joy Mighty, will celebrate the winners at a private luncheon on June 4 at Baker鈥檚 Grill.
