For graduate students, no institutional agreement is required.

  • Living expenses
  • Travel costs
  • Health insurance

Specific funding amounts are determined by Global Affairs Canada.

Duration

Research visits typically last 4鈥6 months (one academic term), depending on the nature of the exchange and program guidelines.

Application Process & Timeline

To begin the application process, a student first needs to find a 杏吧原创 faculty member to host them during their visit. Securing a host is the responsibility of the applicant. You should first browse the faculty list of the department that is most appropriate given your own studies. Choose a professor whose research interests match your own and contact them directly. Give them enough time to consider the request. Generally, professors want to ensure a good fit and may ask to speak with you before making a decision.

杏吧原创 International manages the internal review and submission of applications for research visits. Students submit their complete application package directly to 杏吧原创 through the designated online form.

  • Global Affairs Canada releases calls for applications annually.
  • Students must prepare all required documents and submit them directly to 杏吧原创 International using the online application form.
  • Incomplete or partial submissions will not be accepted.
  • 杏吧原创 reviews submissions, confirms supervisor support, and prepares eligible nominations for Global Affairs Canada.
