Background
For the ongoing Mitacs Globalink Research Award, 杏吧原创 University, through the Canada-India Centre, has partnered with Mitacs and secured up to 15 student internships in India for 杏吧原创 University students. The partnership is for the Mitacs GRA 鈥揗HRD India call and provides students with $10,000 for a 12-week project in India.
Mitacs is a national, private not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered unique research and training programs in Canada for 16 years. In partnership with the not-for-profit sector, companies and universities, Mitacs is supporting a new economy using Canada鈥檚 most valuable resource鈥攊ts people.
Opportunity
If there is already an identified project and a host faculty member in India at one of the 7 eligible Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Canada-India Centre can assist students with the administrative requirements, i.e. review application.
If a project or a host faculty in India has not yet been determined, the Canada-India Centre can help in finding a suitable project and a host faculty member at one of the eligible IITs for students.
