What you need in order to apply:

  1. Two confidentialÌýReferee Appraisal Forms.*ÌýThese are generated electronically in your ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´360 application. Ensure the information is correct and the referees have been informed of their role. Referees should be able to comment on your academic background and aptitude for graduate school. Professional journalists applying for advanced standing may list professional references.
  2. One Statement of IntentÌýoutlining your interests and objectives in the MJ program. The statement should discuss who you are, why you wish to become a journalist, what you hope to achieve in our program, and what you hope to do with a Master of Journalism degree.
  3. One Resumé/Curriculum Vitae.
  4. One set of WritingÌýSamplesÌý— ideally works of journalism.ÌýYour samples should display your skills as a writer, researcher or thinker. The samples shouldÌýconsist of newspaper and magazine clippings, and newsletters (all of these are to be uploaded online – maximum of three). Please indicate whether yourÌýsample has been published or broadcast and include details of the airdate where appropriate. If you are uploading essays from your undergraduate degree, select those that, in your view, represent your best work.
  5. OneÌýcopy ofÌýAcademic Transcripts/AuditsÌý
  6. One copy of yourÌýTOEFL/IELTS/CAEL/English proficiency test score*Ìýis required if your native language (usually International Applicants)Ìýis not English.
