Masters in Infrastructure Protection and International Security: Admissions
The Masters of Infrastructure Protection and International Security (M.IPIS) program is designed for:
- those interested in asset protection and security, especially those responsible for the protection of critical infrastructures at all governmental levels and in private industry;
- advisors and managers of public and private policy in critical infrastructure protection at all levels of government; and
- project and program managers of national critical infrastructure and other critical infrastructure.
Admission Requirements: M.IPIS
- A four-year Bachelor鈥檚 Degree, typically a Bachelor of Arts (Honours); Bachelor of Science (Honours); or Bachelor of Engineering
- B+ (77%) average or higher, though relevant work experience will be taken into consideration

Graduate information sessions are typically held in the Fall.
Accelerated Pathway
The accelerated pathway to the M.IPIS is a flexible and individualized plan of graduate study for students in their final year of a 杏吧原创 undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
Students in their third year of study in their undergraduate program who are interested in the accelerated pathway should consult with the Associate Director M. IPIS Program to determine if the accelerated pathway is appropriate for them and to confirm their selection of courses and Honours project/thesis supervisor for their final year of undergraduate studies. 聽
Students may receive advanced standing with transfer of credit of up to 1.0 credit which can reduce their time to completion.
To be eligible to participate in the accelerated pathway, students must have a minimum overall CGPA of A- in undergraduate courses. 聽
International Students
International students should apply to study full-time in the M.IPIS program. International students should not apply to the part-time program, as there is no space for non-domestic students. Please communicate directly with us if you think you will receive status in Canada before taking up any offer.
Financial Support
Consideration for funding and financial support including teaching and research assistantships is made at the time of admission. A separate application is not required. In order to be considered for funding, you must submit a completed application (including all required documents) before the first deadline.
Current and prospective graduate students are encouraged to apply for or scholarships and , which are awarded annually to outstanding students by the federal and provincial governments.
