Jennifer Evans Speaks at Packed Auditorium in Berlin

On June 21st, Jennifer Evans gave the Midterm Lecture to a packed auditorium at the Friedrich Meineke Institute at the Freie Universität Berlin. She spoke about her recent book The Queer Art of History: Queer Kinship After Fascism which makes the case for a more subjective, intersectional analysis of trans and queer histories. In an era of increasing backlash, she asserts it is ever more important to rescue from obscurity moments of solidarity and kinship from the not-so-distant past as a guide for how we might think about our unfolding present.

The lecture was attended by students of the Freie Uni, community members, and several of �Ӱ�ԭ��’s own present and former students were present as well.
