History student wins Colonel John By Award for a essay on Garden City plans for Campus Site
Mary MacGregor, a student in Bruce Elliott’s Canadian urban history/Ottawa neighbourhoods class won the annual 2014 Colonel John By Award for an essay on the plans for a garden city suburb in Old Ottawa South and the site of ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ campus. Her essay will be published in the Historical Society of Ottawa series.
The Colonel John By Award in History is a prize of $800, awarded annually to a student in a graduate or undergraduate history course who writes the best paper on a topic concerning the history of Ottawa or the Ottawa Valley.
