The 3 Minute Thesis competition (3MT), that was held at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ on March 6, is an event that challenged graduate students to communicate the key idea of their research in 3 minutes or less. Judges evaluated their  ability to effectively and succinctly communicate their research to a general audience. The History Department’s own Martha Attridge Bufton was awarded first place, and was also selected as the People’s Choice Award Winner for her presentation entitled “Radical Roses, Women, Unions, and Social Justice at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University, 1973-76.” She will have all expenses paid to represent ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ at the provincial championships at McMaster University in April.
