Umoja Black Community Engagement Program Positions

The Umoja Black Community Engagement Program is a recently established initiative dedicated to the academic, professional, and personal empowerment of the Ottawa regions’ African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities. The Umoja Program is managed by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University Student Experience Office and led by African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) Graduate and Undergraduate students and are hiring three student leadership positions to support their programming.
- Communications & Marketing Coordinator –Â responsible for working with student associations and relevant stakeholders in the university in a relationship of solidarity to engage African, Caribbean, and Black students to attend and participate in ACB centered events.
- Events & Operations Lead –Â responsible for the logistical development of all events for the Umoja Black Community Engagement Program while co-supervising three coordinator roles.
- High School Coordinator –Â responsible for supporting ACB youth in their transition from high school to post-secondary including the development and delivery of Umoja’s mentorship programming.
