Lifelong Learning – Program Policies
Lifelong Learning Program Policies
Fees & Administrative Procedures
To help programs run smoothly, participants are responsible for understanding registration requirements, applicable fees, transfers, cancellations, withdrawals, and refund processes. Program schedules, administrative procedures, and other important information will be shared before the program begins, and our team is always happy to answer questions.
Transfer, Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. If you are unable to attend a program, please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss the options available.
- Cancellations received 28 or more calendar days before the program start date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations received 7 to 27 calendar days before the program start date are not eligible for a refund but may qualify for a transfer to another offering, subject to availability.
- Cancellations received fewer than 7 calendar days before the program start date, or after the program has begun, are not eligible for a refund or transfer.
We appreciate your understanding, as these timelines help us plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences for all participants.
Transfers
Eligible transfer requests must be submitted before the program begins and are subject to space availability. Transfers are generally limited to one per registration. If the new program has a higher fee, participants are responsible for paying the difference. If the new program has a lower fee, the difference will not normally be refunded.
Program Cancellations
Occasionally, there may be a cancellation, postponement, or rescheduling of a program due to low enrolment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, participants may choose either a full refund or a transfer to another available offering. Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment.
Missed Classes
Refunds, credits, or make-up sessions will not be provided for classes missed by participants.聽
Code of Conduct
We are committed to fostering a respectful and welcoming learning community. We ask all participants to treat fellow learners, facilitators, staff, and community partners with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Participation & Program Requirements
Active participation helps create a meaningful learning experience for everyone. We encourage participants to attend scheduled learning activities, engage in discussions, and complete any required learning activities or assessments. Program-specific expectations will be shared before or at the start of each program.
Privacy, Confidentiality & Responsible Technology Use
Protecting personal information and fostering trust are important to us. We are committed to safeguarding participant privacy, and we ask everyone to respect the confidentiality of information shared during learning activities. Technology, online learning platforms, and AI tools should be used responsibly, ethically, and in ways that support learning.
Participants are encouraged to review 杏吧原创 University’s General Notice of Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information, available at: /privacy/privacy-notices/general-notice-of-collection-use-and-disclosure/
Photography & Recording
From time to time, photographs or recordings may be taken during programs for promotional, educational, or archival purposes. Participants may choose not to be photographed or recorded where reasonably possible.
Program Communications
Program information, including reminders, course information, emergency notifications, and other important updates, will be sent to the email address provided at registration. Participants are responsible for ensuring their contact information is current and for monitoring their email for program communications.
Electronic Communications
By registering for a course, participants consent to receive essential program-related communications, including registration confirmations, receipts, course reminders, schedule changes, location details, evaluation surveys, and important program updates.
Participants may also choose to opt in to receive promotional communications about upcoming courses, events, program news, and other learning opportunities. Promotional communications are optional and are not required for participation in the program.
Participants who opt in may unsubscribe at any time through the provided unsubscribe link or by contacting the program directly. 杏吧原创 University will manage personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and university policies.
Participants should direct administrative questions related to registration, scheduling, accessibility, or payment to program staff rather than instructors. Instructor contact information will not be distributed without the instructor’s consent.
Respectful Use of Shared Spaces & Personal Belongings
The Centre is a vibrant, shared facility where multiple programs, classes, events, and community activities may take place at the same time. We ask participants to be respectful of others, use shared spaces thoughtfully, and help maintain a welcoming environment for everyone. Participants are also responsible for their personal belongings while attending programs. 杏吧原创 University is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.聽
