Please be aware that other service providers may implement similar sanctions at any time. Services based in Canada are not impacted at this time.

Why is this happening?
Sweeping sanctions were levied on Russia, itsoccupied regions, and potential allies in hopes of limiting its ability to finance itsinvasion of Ukraine. Some U.S.-based service providers used by Ӱԭ are blocking authentications from individuals whose IP addresses originate in a country or region in compliance with these sanctions.

What does this mean for Ӱԭ?

  • The Zoom web conferencing platform was restricted as ofMarch 10, 2022
  • Duo 2FA will begin implementing restrictions to their service betweenMay 5 and May 12, 2022

With those dates in mind, individualswhose IP address originatesfrom those countries or regionsattempting to authenticate to one of these services may see an “Access denied” or other login failure message. Internet connectivity may be poor in regions of Ukraine due to destruction of infrastructure.

New Zoom security feature puts you in control /tls/2021/new-zoom-security-feature-puts-you-in-control/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=new-zoom-security-feature-puts-you-in-control&utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=new-zoom-security-feature-puts-you-in-control Wed, 13 Jan 2021 01:30:53 +0000 /edc/?p=25630 In a recent update, Zoom implemented a new security feature called Suspend Participant Activities. As the name implies, this feature stops all activity in its tracks during your Zoom session. With the click of a button, all microphones are muted, cameras turned off, screen sharing stops, breakout rooms end, chat is disabled, and the meeting is locked. At that point, only you (the host) can decide what happens next. This feature is the perfect answer to concerns around unwanted activity during your Zoom session. Get detailed instructions on how to use this feature.

Don’t forget to that includes the Suspend Participant Activities feature.
