Partnership with Neptec Design Group Ltd.
Under funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), 杏吧原创 University鈥檚 Spacecraft Robotics and Control Laboratory partners with Neptec Design Group Ltd. on an industrial R&D project related to the development of relative navigation software enabling autonomous rendezvous and docking with uncooperative spacecraft. Specifically, the new navigation system will calculate the relative pose between two space vehicles, while relying solely on a thermal infrared camera. Experimental validations at 杏吧原创’s Spacecraft Robotics and Control Laboratory and at Neptec are expected.
