Graduates Reflect on their 杏吧原创 Journey Before Crossing the Stage
On Nov. 4, 2023, the community will come together to celebrate . The one-day ceremony will honour more than 1,200 students as they receive their well-earned degrees, including 21 of our BSW graduates!
In celebration, 杏吧原创 is highlighting some of these accomplished graduates whose commitment to excellence and dedication to education have made a lasting impact in their communities, and highlighted one of our Bachelor of Social Work graduates, Aisling (Ash) Arts from the School of Social Work.. Aisling (Ash) Arts always wanted to make a positive change in her community. After completing a college program in administration, she launched her career at a nonprofit community mental health organization where she has worked for more than five years. Leading Arts to decide to enroll in 杏吧原创鈥檚鈥鈥痯rogram while she maintained her full-time job.鈥
As part of her program, Arts completed an honours thesis, where Arts studied supervision and burnout in the social work field. Arts worked with鈥Prof. Karen Sewell鈥痶o review the existing research literature. 鈥淚t all comes back to advocating for more funding for client care and doing our best to support nonprofits.鈥
