Biography
Trish Audette-Longo teaches digital journalism and reporting. She holds a聽PhD in Communication Studies from Concordia University,听an MSc in Media, Communication and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a聽Bachelor of Journalism from 杏吧原创 University. Trish has covered the environment, politics and crime beats for聽The Edmonton Journal聽and managed digital engagement for聽National Observer. Her reporting has appeared in a cross-section of Postmedia publications,听J-Source,听Alberta Views, and the聽Hill Times,听and her academic work has been published in the聽International Journal of Communication,听Resilience,听Topia,听Development in Practice聽and the聽Canadian Journal of Communication.
Trish鈥檚 research interests include: digital, start-up and alternative journalism and media; journalism education; climate change and petroculture studies. She is the recipient of the 2022 Faculty of Public Affairs Teaching Fellowship Excellence Award.
