AGE-WELL SAM3 National Innovation Hub

Overview

SAM3 is a collaboration between the Bruyère Health Research Institute and ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University in partnership with the AGE-WELL Network Centres of Excellence. SAM3 stands for Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory. Our focus is research and innovation projects on the application of technology based solutions to enable an aging population to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. These solutions are co-created with industry, clinical, academic, and older adults and their families.

SAM3 brings together a multi-disciplinary team of researchers that includes physicians and health sciences related disciplines, engineering and other technical disciplines, industry design, social work and many other fields of expertise.  We do collaborative research with industry partners funded by the partners and agencies that match funds. The work includes understanding new technologies through to trials and testing with real users in clinical and home settings.
