Edward Lemaire is actively involved with research on technologies that improve mobility for people with physical disabilities. This research includes intelligent prosthetics and orthotics, robotic exoskeletons and smart wheelchairs, biomechanical walking analysis in 3D virtual environments, smartphone approaches to improve clinical decision-making, and eHealth technology to enhance access to education and rehabilitation services. This research combines engineering, biomechanics, signal processing and machine learning, and clinical rehabilitation sciences. In addition, Dr Lemaire is the incoming President for the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Jesse Stewart is an award-winning composer, percussionist, artist, educator, and community activist dedicated to re-imagining the spaces between artistic and academic disciplines, and to fostering healthy communities through the arts. In 2012, he was honoured with the 鈥淚nstrumental Album of the Year鈥� Juno award for his work with genre-defying trio Stretch Orchestra. In 2014, he was named to the Order of Ottawa. In 2017, he receive the聽D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning, an international teaching award in recognition of teaching innovation and excellence.聽His research interests include聽improvisation studies, experimental music, music and social justice, inclusive music-making, community music, adaptive musical technologies, jazz studies, hip hop studies, and critical pedagogy.
