Electroforce 3200 Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)

The DMA is an advanced testing tool used to measure material properties as a function of time, temperature, loading frequency, etc. Using the DMA, our researchers quantify the viscoelastic behaviour of polymers, measure fatigue resistance and more.

Hyrel Hydra 21 3D Printer

The Hydra 21 is a highly customizable 3D printer that can print a wide array of materials including PEEK, TPU, and Nylon. Our team uses this machine to print high-performance materials with manufacturing requirements that cannot be achieved with other printers.

Jubilee 3D Printer

The Jubilee is an open-source toolchanging 3D printer. The Jubilee can print up to four materials at once and is used by our lab for our multi-material printing projects.

Melt Electrowriting (MEW) 3D Printer

Our research team built the MEW printer in-house. A high voltage between the nozzle and print bed stretches the extruded material, reducing the extrudate diameter and allowing us to accurately print small structures.
