Project Launch: Evaluation of Refugee-Led Organizations in East Africa and the Middle East

LERRN, the  (RSC) at the University of Oxford, and the  (CLS), are working together on a study funded by a consortium of donors including the  (IDRC), the  (OSF),  and others. This innovative, fully participatory research is led by researchers with lived experience of forced displacement and aims to understand the factors that influence the impact of refugee-led organisations (RLOs) as service-delivery providers in humanitarian settings in East Africa and the Middle East.

LERRN-RRN Series: Ethics in Forced Migration Research

From November 2021 to March 2022, the (LERRN) and the (RRN) co-hosted a series of monthly webinars addressing the ethics of forced migration research at various stages of the research process, from setting the agenda to sharing the research. With a growing understanding in the field of forced migration that it is important to do research differently, this series was aimed at building a community of practice of people dedicated to supporting ethical and relevant research on forced migration, and at sharing best practices on designing and conducting research.

LERRN-IDRC Series: Forced Displacement

From October 2020 to June 2021, the Local Engagement Refugee Research Network (LERRN) and the (IDRC) co-hosted monthly seminars addressing several dimensions of forced displacement, with an emphasis on the perspectives of partners closest to the issues being discussed.
