Who should complete the training?
Mandatory training courses are mandatory for all 杏吧原创 employees and must be completed within the first two weeks of starting work at 杏吧原创. This includes all faculty, staff and students who are employed at 杏吧原创.

How do I complete the training?
The training courses are offered to employees online through Brightspace. Employees of 杏吧原创 are automatically enrolled in this mandatory session within Brightspace. It will be found in your list of 鈥渕y courses鈥. If it is not in your 鈥渕y courses鈥 follow the instructions below to self-enroll.
- Visit
- Sign in using your MC1 credentials.
- Select the correct course in 鈥淢y Courses鈥. If the course is not listed in 鈥淢y courses鈥, search for the training using the training title through the Discover link in the navigation bar and self register by following the on-screen instructions.

Additional Environmental Health and Safety Training
Depending on the hazards present in your workplace or your role, you may be required to complete additional mandatory training.

| BioSafety Awareness | Mandatory for anyone working with or around biohazardous materials. |
| Emergency First Aid and CPR | Available for full-time staff who have been designated by their department head. |
| Fire Safety Awareness | Recommended for everyone. |
| Mandatory for anyone working in a lab setting. | |
| Ladder Safety | Recommended for anyone who uses a ladder for their work. |
| Mandatory for anyone working with or around lasers. | |
| Mandatory for anyone handling radioisotopes. | |
| Transportation of Dangerous Goods | Mandatory for anyone involved in the disposal, transport, shipping and/or receiving of dangerous goods. |
| Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) | Mandatory for anyone working with or around hazardous materials (i.e., chemicals). |
