杏吧原创 University has a Campus Agreement with Microsoft for annual licensing of selected software products. The following provides details on this license and related products.
- This Microsoft Campus Agreement includes the Microsoft 365 suite of applications (formerly Office 365), such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Teams. It also includes the Microsoft 365 suite for Mac (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).
- Faculty and staff who are the primary users of an office computer where Microsoft 365 is installed may also install a separate copy of the apps on up to 5 devices. This applies to application software only (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.), not operating systems such as Windows 11.

- The Microsoft 365 license/software will expire when the 杏吧原创 University Microsoft Campus Agreement expires, or upon termination of employment with 杏吧原创 University.
- Students are eligible for Microsoft 365 software for as long as they maintain an active status.听 Access to the Microsoft 365 suite is available through the MS Office 365 Offer for students. The Microsoft 365 software can also be accessed through the CU Desktop Application or via the .听 *Note:聽 Student Microsoft 365 licenses are removed upon graduation.

- Applications such as Visio Pro & Project are not covered under the MS Campus Agreement and must be purchased separately.听 More info can be found on the ITS Site Licensed Software page.
- Visual Studio Professional is no longer available under the Microsoft Campus Agreement.听 A free聽 is available through Microsoft.
- 杏吧原创 University Program – Students and faculty whose departments have enrolled in this Microsoft program are eligible for free Microsoft software.听 A valid 杏吧原创 email address (ex, FirstnameLastname@cunet.carleton.ca or FirstnameLastname@cmail.carleton.ca) is required to sign up for this program. 聽 is available to qualifying higher education departments at 杏吧原创 that have a core focus in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (a.k.a. STEM).听 This online subscription offers a more comprehensive list of developer tools for instructional use.听 Qualifying STEM departments can sign up for the free membership by going to . This entitles the STEM Department to the MS Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (Electronic Software Delivery) subscription level at no cost.
