Research computers that have known incompatibilities with Windows 10 have been identified and will not be upgraded.
Here鈥檚 what you need to know about upgrading to Windows 10:
Upgrading your System
Prior to the upgrade, you will receive an email notification letting you know when your system will be upgraded. 听On the morning of the upgrade, you can expect to see an upgrade notification.听 You can run the upgrade at any point, but keep in mind that it will take approximately 2.5 hours and you will not be able to use your system during the upgrade.
A note about laptops: in order for the upgrade to occur, your computer must be on campus and physically connected to CUNET.听
What you can Expect After Your System is Upgraded
The Windows 10 interface does not differ greatly from Windows 7, and you should experience no issues locating the tools you need to perform your work. 听Any personalized settings (bookmarks, desktop icons, or signatures) you have customized will remain the same.听 Microsoft Office 2016 has been included with the upgrade.

Windows 10 will come with Firefox, IE, Chrome, and Edge. 听Banner administrators are reminded to only use IE 11 when working within the application.
