In May the ITS Service Desk responded to 2514 inquiries via phone, email, or walk-in.

Surveys are issued to determine the overall satisfaction rate with the service desk. 聽This month’s rate was 95%.

Email: Over the last couple of months higher ed institutions have seen a dramatic increase in the amount of malicious content contained in emails (shown below). 聽At 杏吧原创, over 80% of email messages coming into our email gateway were blocked by our spam blockers.

Graph displays an increase in malware in higher ed. 聽The numbers are under 500,000 until March 2016 at which time they spike to over 3,000,000. 聽There is then a drop in April and then another spike in May – over 4.5 million.

  • 54% came from search engines
  • 30% came from referrals (other websites)
  • 16% came directly to the site
