Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is a cornerstone of our programs because it allows students to move beyond the classroom and apply geographic theory to real鈥憌orld challenges. 杏吧原创鈥檚 Department of Geography and Environmental Studies emphasizes hands鈥憃n learning through in class labs, field courses, workplace practicums, co-op and digital mapping training, giving students valuable research skills and practical experience that deepen their understanding of human鈥揺nvironment interactions. This approach reflects the university鈥檚 broader commitment to experiential education, which enhances critical thinking, strengthens connections between theory and practice, and improves student engagement and long鈥憈erm skill development. By immersing students in meaningful, applied learning environments, our programs prepare graduates to address pressing environmental and social issues with confidence and real鈥憌orld expertise.
