Policies for Professional and Executive Education

Payment Policy

Course fees must be paid prior to the program start. Registration is open until all spots are filled, however we recommend registering three weeks in advance to ensure your spot in the program.聽

Please note: International registrations do not qualify for payment plans.

A 5% discount is available to organizations that register three or more participants in the same program cohort.

NSF cheques are subject to a $50 charge.

INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATIONS
Registrations from outside of Canada require full payment prior to the course start date.聽

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Written cancellations received a minimum of two weeks prior to the program start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than two weeks but more than 2 business days prior to the program start date will 聽be subject to a 20% administration fee or loss of the deposit amount. Non-attendance or notice of cancellation received within 2 business days of the program start, will incur the full program fee. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.

Organizations may substitute candidates if notice is provided at least 2 business days prior to the program start date. Future EDge liability is limited to the reimbursement of paid program fees. Fees, dates and speakers are subject to change.

Future EDge reserves the right to cancel a class at any time but will make its best efforts to provide a minimum of two weeks notice of such cancellation. In such cases, we will refund the course fee(s) in full. Our liability is limited to course fee(s) only. We cannot be held liable for travel or other related expenses.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attendance in all programs is mandatory for successful completion. Certificates will not be awarded until the entire program has been completed. 聽For extenuating circumstances for a missed module or course, please contact聽FutureEdge@carleton.ca聽in advance of the absence.聽

Academic Integrity/Plagiarism Policy

Adherence to acceptable standards of academic honesty is an important aspect of the learning process. Academic work submitted by a student is evaluated on the assumption that the work presented by the student is their own unless designated otherwise.

The University Senate defines plagiarism in the regulations on instructional offenses as: 鈥渢o use and pass off as one鈥檚 own idea or product work of another without expressly giving credit to another.鈥

Borrowing someone else鈥檚 answers, unauthorized possession of tests or answers to tests, or possession of material during an exam designed for answering exam questions, are also subject to university policy regarding instructional offenses.

All instances or accusations of plagiarism or breach of academic integrity will be forwarded and investigated by the program coordinator in alignment with the policies and procedures of 杏吧原创 University Future EDge.

Photo and Video Policy

CU Future EDge reserves the right to reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast, distribute and create derivative works of participants鈥 photos and videos taken during course activities for use in connection with the activities of the University or for promoting, publicizing or explaining the University or its activities. Promotional purposes include, but are not limited to, online and print materials.
