The Chair supports teaching, public and policy debates, and dissemination of resources on the EU as a foreign policy actor, the EU鈥檚 sponsored policies within the Eurasian region and the EU-China relations. In teaching, new graduate and undergraduate courses proposed by the Chair expand the EU course offerings in the area of study. To target scholars, policy makers and civil society, the Chair organizes a major event each year on a topic related to EU regionalism, EU-China relations, and global economic governance. The Chair hosts guest lectures and disseminates virtual outreach material to provide a platform for debate on EU鈥檚 foreign policy and potential implications for Canada-EU relations.
The Chair was established in September 2022 and is supported by a grant from the EU鈥檚 and by 杏吧原创 University. The Chair is housed in the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at 杏吧原创 University.
