Biography

Folake Oluokun is a PhD candidate in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University’s Ethics and Public Affairs Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. She also holds a master’s degree in citizenship education from the University of London, a master’s degree in anti-corruption studies from the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Laxenburg, Austria, and a master’s degree in public ethics from Saint Paul University, Ottawa.  Folake’s master’s thesis at Saint Paul University explored the moral obligations involved in Canada’s immigration policy and their implications for global justice. Her current research examines how Canada’s policy on multiculturalism shapes and influences the building or erosion of civic trust, with particular focus on the experiences of African immigrants.
