Consent Awareness Week September 21-25, 2026

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s Sexual Assault Support Centre (CUSASC) is thrilled to launch Consent Awareness Week, a national campaign held annually across Canada during the third week of September, known as the Red Zone.

Throughout the week, a range of events will be offered to raise awareness about consent as a daily practice and commitment, sexual violence prevention and bystander intervention as a means of taking action.

Join us as we kick off this week-long campaign and continue our commitment to fostering a safer and more informed campus community.

Module Training Launch: We Create Consent: Strategies for Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities (EIC) has created and launched an online asynchronous module We Create Consent: Strategies for Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence. This module is designed primarily for ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ students across all academic disciplines, takes on average 45-60 minutes to complete and aims to serve as a foundational course for learning about sexual and gender-based violence. The module covers topics including consent, healthy communication, bystander intervention and responding to disclosures and provides opportunities for students to engage through reflection questions, short quizzes and scenario-based activities
