Professor Halim Yanikomeroglu Named Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association

Chancellor鈥檚 Professor Halim Yanikomeroglu of 杏吧原创鈥檚 Department of Systems and Computer Engineering has been named a Fellow of the , an academic non-profit and non-governmental organization that aims to develop a broad artificial intelligence (AI) industry to promote the development and application of AI in different fields of science and technology.

Comprised of more than 1,500 academicians worldwide, AAIA gathers top scientists in different disciplines that can be combined with AI, AI related institutions, and entrepreneurs that have AI applications to drive innovation in the development and of AI and its applications in a wide range of industries such as computing, communication, power, medicine, transportation, agriculture, education and more.

Professor Yanikomeroglu also holds the distinction of Fellow with the , the , and the . His current research focuses on integrated space/stratospheric/aerial/terrestrial network architecture for 6G and beyond, AI, machine learning, and data analytics for wireless networks, and PHY for 6G and beyond.

Professor Yanikomeroglu has supervised 29 PhD and 30 Master鈥檚 students, coauthored over 600 published peer-reviewed research papers, and has been granted 40 patents through his collaborative research with industry.
