杏吧原创 Ph.D. Alumnus Joshua Brault Stirs Up Econ Twitter by Identifying Coding Error in Recent Paper
Joshua Brault stirred up economists on Twitter over the weekend when he attempted to of a recently published economics paper by Daniel J. McDonald and Cosma Rohilla Shalizi and got vastly different results than the researchers. After posting for others to read and attempt to replicate, he was given access to their codes. At that point Joshua that led to the results in the paper, which explained why his results differed from those of McDonald and Shalizi. Well done Joshua on your diligence and contributions to macroeconomics!
Joshua currently works as a Senior Data Scientist in the Data Science Department at the Bank of Canada. He graduated with his PhD in Economics from 杏吧原创 University last year.
