- You must consult with your supervisor(s) regarding course selection.
- You are strongly encouraged to complete DATA 5000 and 5001 in the your first year of study.
- You must complete your coursework before you register for your thesis.
- When you first register for your thesis, you will receive an error and must provide a registration override request. Your supervisor must send an approval email to the Graduate Administrator team to approve the registration override request.
- Students enrolled in a thesis-based program must register for their thesis in their first term and remain continuously registered in every subsequent term until the thesis has been completed. This includes registering in the summer term.

When you鈥檙e ready to schedule a defence, your supervisor must complete the Scheduling a Master鈥檚 Thesis Defence form.
If you wish to enroll in a course that is not on the approved DSAAI Approved Electives list, then you will need to complete the Permission for Credit form.
