The Institute for Data Science congratulates Tracey P. Lauriault on winning the Canadian Open Data Leader of the Year award, presented at the Canadian Open Data Summit in New Brunswick on April 27, 2016. Lauriault is a of the Institute from ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s School of Journalism and Communication, where she specializes in Critical Data Studies, Big Data, Open Data, Data Infrastructures, and Data as Media.
Lauriault has been heavily involved with the Institute since it was established in April 2015. Most recently, she delivered a presentation at on March 29 (watch her presentation ) and led a in mid-April. It is wonderful to see that Lauriault is being recognized for her tireless efforts to advance research and foster discussion on open data policy and strategy. She is truly deserving of such accolades.
