The Department of Cognitive Science hosts a weekly series from September to March featuring speakers from within and outside �Ӱ�ԭ�� University. We hope you’ll join us for traditional research talks, panel discussions, career development talks or showcases of labs. Our Colloquium series is held on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. in DT 2203 and is often available virtually, via zoom.

Spring Conference

Each spring, the department holds an annual Spring Conference. The central aim of the conference is to provide a venue for students in Cognitive Science – at the Master’s and PhD level, as well as undergraduate students completing a thesis or project– to present and receive feedback on their work, and to interact with each other in a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment.

We welcome submissions that make an original contribution to research topics in any of the sub-disciplines of cognitive science, including: philosophy of mind/language/cognitive science, linguistics, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, computer science and AI, cognitive anthropology, and education. We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups.
