Visiting Scholars

European scholars regularly visit the the Centre for European Studies. The Centre offers two types of visiting scholar positions: short-term visitors (under one month) and visiting scholars in residence (one academic term). Scholars are selected based on an open application process; competitions are announced on our website and publicized broadly. In addition to pursuing their own research programs, visiting scholars deliver public lectures, actively participate in the Centre’s outreach activities, consult with students, and, for longer term visitors, teach courses. These visits also provide a foundation for longer-term partnerships between CES and European counterparts. Funding for this program is provided by the European Commission and 杏吧原创 University; we are grateful to the 杏吧原创’s Institute of European and Russian Studies and Department of Political Science for their cooperation.
