Sarah Anne Szabototh

Sarah Anne Szabototh has worked at �Ӱ�ԭ�� University for 12 years, with the past 8 years spent as both the Department Administrator for Biology and the Institute Administrator for Biochemistry. In 2022, Sarah Anne and her biology and biochemistry team received the Service Excellence Award.

Sarah Anne has previously worked on the Executive Timetabling Committee, chaired by the University Registrar, to represent the staff perspective during the annual review of the Coordinated Timetabling Policy. Her committee work has given her insight into and an understanding of the high-level decision-making process at �Ӱ�ԭ��. In her committee work, Sarah Anne pre-empts potential risks by making an active effort to investigate and communicate potential implications of actions early on, arriving to meetings informed and ready to deliberate. Sarah Anne’s work has given her experience with the confidentiality around deliberations and navigating complexity. Sarah Anne understands how to examine and articulate multiple perspectives while still operating in the best interest of the University.

Sarah Anne has also coordinated �Ӱ�ԭ��’s Annual Biology Butterfly Show since 2020. She has extensive experience working with stakeholders and internal and external partners each year to generate new ideas and procure the necessary donations to keep the show running.

Sarah Anne has been appointed to the board of Governors for a three-year term commencing July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2029.
