Publication alert: Plastic reclamation using microorganisms
Sydney Pedari (BSc Computational Biochemistry/2023) has presented their research on streamlining plastic reclamation using microbial degradation at the Annual Canadian Ecotoxicity Workshop. This work was part of a larger project in the group of Profs Daniel Gr茅goire and Yaxi Hu (Institute of Biochemistry). This research characterized plastics using a rapid spectroscopic technique and investigated microbial biodegradative capacity of said plastics.
