At Teaching and Learning Services (TLS), we offer a wide range of resources and services in support of the university’s teaching and learning activities, ensuring ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ remains at the cutting edge in Canadian higher education.ÌýÌý
As our portfolio continues to evolve, we have made changes to our organization and key service areas that will allow us to take a more focused approach in supporting the diverse ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ community. TLS will focus on three main service areas under new team names: Digital Learning, Learning Spaces, and Teaching Excellence and Innovation.ÌýÌý
The Digital Learning portfolio, led by Elspeth McCulloch, is made up of elements of the former Educational Development Centre (EDC) and ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Online, including technical operations and media production. This team will focus on strategic digital learning initiatives, including the university’s broad educational technology portfolio and media production services.ÌýÌý
The Learning Spaces portfolio, formerly Instructional Media Services (IMS), continues to be led by Craig Gauthier. In addition to providing front line support to instructors in the classroom, this team will focus on designing,ÌýrenewingÌýand maintaining learning spaces at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ to ensure the best teaching and learning experience for instructors and students. ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University Event Support (CUES), now the TLS Event Support team, continues to provide event support for the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ community around campus and in the KM Theatre.ÌýÌý
JaymieÌýKorolukÌýoversees the Teaching Excellence and Innovation portfolio, which encompasses elements of the former EDC, as well as the Discovery Centre and ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Online. This team will work towards enhancing partnerships between students and instructors, supporting instructors and TAs with teaching practice, as well as promoting experiential learning initiatives and the adoption of high-impact practices and immersive learning at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´.ÌýÌý
In conjunction with the reorganization, we have also launched aÌýÌýto better assist the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ community in navigating our services and resources for instructors and teaching assistants. This website also reflects our new organizational structure.ÌýÌý
