Headshot of Hilary Paulin

While the general theory of carbon pricing as a tool to drive emissions reductions is broadly understood in the climate policy space, the nuances of the Canadian approach(es) are frequently mischaracterized. This seminar will look at the theoretical foundations of the most common model of industrial carbon pricing in Canadian jurisdictions鈥攖he output-based pricing system鈥攁nd compare this design to more commonly understood market-based measures.
