�Ӱ�ԭ�� sustainable energy students showcased their expertise at the Ontario Energy Board’s inaugural Energython case competition held in Toronto on January 30, 2026. Representing �Ӱ�ԭ�� as Team Meter Made Better, graduate students Sean Thomas, Maia Warren, Melizza Clayden Tabobondung, and Vedika Chandran were shortlisted from 15 initial teams to compete as one of only four provincial finalists.

The team delivered well‑reasoned recommendations on balancing new energy sources within Ontario’s regulatory frameworks, drawing on insights from their coursework and analyses developed throughout the 10-day competition.

“They presented a multi‑criteria analysis that brought together energy transition considerations and equity impacts” said Professor Daniel Rosenbloom. “While they didn’t bring home the top prize, I’m genuinely proud of what they accomplished here”.
