Mehdi Ammi
SPPA Associate Professor Mehdi Ammi

Associate Professor Mehdi Ammi is a co-principal investigator on a new $500,000 focused on improving the modelling of COVID-19 pandemic and its recovery, and more generally uncertainty quantification for pandemics. This interdisciplinary, high-risk/high-reward and fast-breaking research project is led by 杏吧原创鈥檚 Engineering Professor Abhijit Sarkar and includes a team of social sciences, natural sciences and health sciences researchers. More details on the project are available on the .

The project will leverage recent advances in high performance computing and machine learning to provide robust and flexible modelling of the long-term effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on health systems and population health. This NFRF fits within Associate Prof Ammi鈥檚 research agenda on understanding the to and of the COVID-19 pandemic.
