A successful first year for the new minor in Community Engagement
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´â€™s new Minor in Community Engagement got off to a great start when the second-year foundations course (SOCI/ANTH 2180) partnered with Community Associations for Environmental Sustainability (CAFES) in Fall 2021. Student projects focused on the City’s development of the 15-minute neighbourhood concept. You can see the results of their efforts , as well as an article about the project in the Sandy Hill community newspaper, , on page 11. Instructor Dr. Deborah Conners is planning a second project with CAFES for Fall 2022, which will focus on increasing diversity in community association membership.
