Korean Language Instructors Present at the 8th Annual CATK Conference
Three Korean language instructors from ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University participated in the 8th Annual Conference of the Canadian Association of Teachers of Korean (CATK), held August 11–12, 2026, at the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This year’s conference, “Cultural and Historical Dimensions in Korean Language Education,” brought together Korean language educators and researchers to explore innovative approaches to Korean language, culture, and history education.
ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University was represented by Hyoun Jeong Yoo, Soyoung Kang, and Seunghee Chung, who each presented on topics related to Korean language and culture education.

The conference provided an opportunity for ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´â€™s Korean language instructors to share their teaching and research with Korean language educators from across Canada and beyond, while also exchanging ideas about innovative approaches to Korean language, culture, and history education.
The participation of all three instructors reflects ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University’s ongoing commitment to enriching Korean language education through culturally responsive and innovative teaching practices.
