MA Graduate Thea Groenhaug Presents Thesis Work in London, UK
Thea Groenhaug recently presented work from her MA thesis at the Focused Interests, Autistic Identity and Communication Across Contexts Workshop, held January 8-9, 2026 in London, UK. Thea’s talk was titled “Focused Interests in Foreign Language Classrooms Can Boost L2 Learning for Neurodivergent Students.”
Thea graduated with a Master of Arts in Linguistics in fall 2025, and her thesis was titled “Neurodiversity in Foreign Language Classrooms: An Examination of Assessment Types.” Since wrapping up her master鈥檚, Thea has shifted her focus to PhD applications, and hopes to build on her MA research by exploring ways to foster positive learning experiences for neurodivergent people.
