Course Spotlight: Language Policy and Planning

Discover how language planning influences language structure, use, beliefs, and social life in ALDS 5407S, our summer graduate course on Language Policy and Planning (LPP). This course offers an in-depth look at how communities, institutions, and governments shape linguistic futures.

Participants must also attend the international conference 鈥Multidisciplinary Approaches in Language Policy and Planning: From Talk to Action鈥 on June 17鈥19. Students will submit weekly reflections, deliver PowerPoint presentations based on empirical research in LPP, and write a critical, reflective report on conference presentations.
