Herzlichen Glückwunsch Maggie Verner for obtaining the German Department Scholarship valued at $750.

“German is my favourite class to attend,” Maggie shares. “I love how interactive it is and appreciate how it allows me to connect with my peers.”

“I have learned more than just the language, but also valuable insights about Germany and German culture that extend beyond the classroom. The German movie nights have also been a great opportunity to meet new people and experience the Ottawa community in a new way. This continues to prepare me for my studies abroad and life in Germany!”

Maggie studies International Business in the Sprott School of Business, and her favourite city to re-visit is Berlin, specifically Neukölln.

The is presented annually on the recommendation of the Director of the School of Linguistics and Language Studies to an outstanding student studying German.
