Emily Udle’s Research Recognized by the Global Undergraduate Awards Committee
Congratulations to Emily Udle, whose research was recognized as the best global linguistics paper by the committee, the world鈥檚 largest academic awards program recognizing originality, innovation, and excellence at the undergraduate level.

Emily鈥檚 paper, Genre in Times of Change: A Systemic Functional Linguistic Analysis of a Remote Newfoundland Real Estate Listing was based on research conducted in Professor Rachelle Vessey鈥檚 course on Systemic Functional Linguistics.
The committee will fund Emily鈥檚 travel to Dublin in November to accept the award. While in Dublin, Emily will present her research during the Global Undergraduate Awards conference, and her paper will be published in their library.
