Come join us! From November 10-13 2022, some members of the SIM Lab team will be at the in Anaheim, California. This year鈥檚 APM theme is Leading Critical Conversations: Human Rights Are Global Rights and will feature social work education presentations, an exhibit hall, and networking opportunities.
Our Research Manager Katherine Occhiuto, Lab Manager Ruxi Gheorghe, and Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting When Reflection is Not Enough: Disrupting Reflection and Moving towards More Socially Just Practice on Friday November 11, 2022 from 10:45鈥11:15AM. This presentation will share preliminary findings from our project (PI: Dr. Sarah Todd), 鈥淜nowing and Not Knowing: Navigating Uncertainty in Social Work Practice鈥.
Later that day, our Post-doctoral Fellow Dr. Sarah Tarshis will be presenting Using Simulation to Train Social Workers on Trauma and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) on Friday November 11, 2022 from 2:30鈥3:30PM.
Both presentations will discuss research using simulation-based methodologies in social work research.
