Thesis
This is a general guideline only. You should always consult with your supervisor(s) regarding your timeline and course selection.

Additional Notes
- You must consult with your supervisor(s) regarding course selection.
- Students are not permitted to register for non-COMP courses (or undergraduate COMP courses) without prior approval from their supervisor(s) and the Grad Director. Courses taken without such approval will not count toward their degree.
- You must complete your coursework before you register for your thesis.
- The courses must satisfy the OCICS area requirement of a minimum of three COMP 5xxx courses in three different research areas. Note that a course cannot be taken to satisfy simultaneously two areas: one course counts for only one area.
- When you first register for your thesis, you will receive an error and must provide a registration override request. Your supervisor must send an approval email to the Graduate Administrator team to approve the registration override request.
- Once the thesis is started, you must maintain continuous registration until completion. This includes registering in the summer term.
